A Word from the Chef

“My mom was master of her domain and so she never let us cook at home. It was only when I lived on my own that I started to cook. The reaction I received from people enjoying my food was so gratifying that I was immediately hooked.”

Why is Chef Mendin in Our Top 10?

Through Chef Mendin’s ability to efficaciously intermix a diverse collection of culture, cuisine and modern techniques in his cooking; he has expanded the Pubbelly Boys Group from a boutique restaurant in the Sunset Harbour, to nine extraordinarily successful restaurants & bars, on both a national and international scale. Chef Mendin has a thoughtful approach when it comes to dinnertime. He believes a meal should be a time when we bond with friends and family, where the conversation naturally flows and great pleasure is taken in one another’s company, and so he serves his food to the center of the table, family style, to create an experience that is shared and appreciated together.
