PAWN BROKER: Miami Rooftop Antics, Brooklyn Style / Thursday August 25th & Friday August 26th
Pawn Broker | Downtown
Thursday August 25th & Friday August 26th
Staying true to its famed inner-city roots, the rooftop’s latest, end of month antics will be a blend of two great cities.
On night one of Brooklyn Nights, you’ll be transported to a Brooklyn-style block party entwined with Miami’s Downtown party vibe. Hosted by Pubbelly Boys Chef Jose Mendin, his Executive Chef from PB Station, Guillermo Concha has been invited to the rooftop to showcase his calzone and fried zeppole making skills. With many years under his belt working at Brooklyn based Italian restaurant, Motorino Pizza, Chef Concha is well versed in serving up the traditional Italian classics to a crisp perfection.
Once Thursday has drawn to a close and Friday evening rolls in, night two of Brooklyn Nights will commence and the Miami rooftop bar will exultantly welcome in the weekend with The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn. The dapper gentleman who make up the group will be suited and booted in very smart attire, think suspenders, jazz hats and bow ties. Their songs are composed of classic blues, western swing and original melodies. The band’s homemade washboard percussion, trumpets, saxophones and live vocals will even have those who claim ‘I don’t dance’, toe tapping!
Brooklyn Nights will bring to life the very best from the NYC neighborhood, from the old to the new, from homemade calzones to classic 1920’s blues. It will be the ultimate union of two impressive urban cultures.
