Big City Tavern And Chef Steven Zobel Introduce New Menu, Craft Cocktails And Weekly Events

Since opening in 2002, Big City Tavern has remained one of South Florida’s most popular dining destinations. Today, the classic American restaurant located on Las Olas Boulevard in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale is celebrating its fourteeth anniversary with new culinary creations and handcrafted cocktails, as well as rolling out a series of weekly events.

 

Working with Big Time Restaurant Group Culinary Director Lisabet Summa, Executive Chef Steven Zobel is presenting a variety of new dishes set to compliment the existing menu, which features a mix of house-cured charcuterie, seafood, steaks and salads along with pastas, pizzas, breads, pastries, and desserts made from scratch in-house daily.

  • Asian Chicken Wings | soy honey glaze, ginger ranch dressing – $12.50
  • Thai Beef Lettuce Cups | hoisin beef, scallion, Thai basil, peanuts, cilantro, lime – $14
  • Prince Edward Island Mussels | spicy fra diavolo – $15.50
  • Eggplant Parmesan | marinara, mozzarella, house-made focaccia, French fries – $14.50
  • Quinoa and Arugula Salad | Vermont cheddar, walnuts, broccoli, mustard vinaigrette, choice
    of grilled chicken, wood-grilled shrimp or grilled skirt steak – $14-18
  • Bacon Marmalade Grilled Cheese | sunny side up egg, Havarti, sourdough, waffle chips – $13
  • Prosciutto and Avocado Toast | sunny side up egg, grilled country bread, aioli – $14
  • Duck Confit Pappardelle | wild mushrooms – $24.50
  • Ravioli Quattro Formaggio | gorgonzola, mascarpone, reggiano, mozzarella – $21.50
  • Spaghetti Pomodoro | burrata, parmigiano reggiano – $19.50

Complimenting Chef Zobel’s menu are several new libations, and the option to enjoy four signature house-made infusions and tap cocktails with the Craft Cocktail Sampler – $16.

Big City Tavern has also introduced updates to the space, making it even easier for young professionals to eat and work at the oak-crafted grand bar by adding power outlets at all 20? seats and free Wifi. In cojunction with Chef Zobel’s new menu, Big City Tavern is launching several new weekly events including ManlyMonday, Tuesday BBQ Night and Kettle Night. They will continue their daily Happy Hour from 4-7pm with $2 off drinsk and half-priced appetizers, and Wino Wednesday with half-off bottles of wine.
